A large and remarkably restored 17th-century building, the Cloître Saint-Louis is one of the Festival's nerve centres. It contains the Festival's offices, ticket offices, the Maison professionnelle du spectacle vivant en Avignon (professional house), as well as the Institut Supérieur des Techniques du Spectacles (ISTS) whose rooms welcome numerous professional encounters. Its courtyard in constent effervescence, is animated by debates and meetings on performing arts and cultural policy issues.
