“Anxiety is the second part of the stage adaptation of The Speech to Animals. I consider it the very intimate explosion of a child's words, the child that we imagine, the one that perhaps the author is, the one that I am. This child who discovers a gaping opening, a hole, an absence in himself and who suffers from it a great deal. An inability to discipline his mouth and his body and his desires. So it is a question of calling out, launching, protesting and shouting: God, or the stones, or the animals, or those who are listening.”
