ARCHIVES 2014 / Je vais danser autour de ta tête jusqu'à ce que tu tombes

Manuel Vallade invites Volmir Cordeiro because of the complicity that guides them and the world that divides them. A world made up of continents, but also of encounters. They work on a way to embody poems, to intensify affects, sensations, and metamorphoses, by performing as a duet. A way to create something in the other, and to see him live through the consequences of that act. Manuel Vallade wishes to share the stage with Volmir Cordeiro, who works in his dancing on the idea of poverty and the concept of figure in choreography. They want this collision of bodies and languages to result in the birth of a unique movement, alive and free, in the present tense.

A graduate of the École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique du Théâtre National in Strasbourg, Manuel Vallade has worked with directors such as Yann-Joël Colin, Ludovic Lagarde, Hubert Colas, Bernard Sobel, and Stéphane Braunschweig. He has also danced for the choreographers Vincent Dupont and Olivia Grandville.

After training as an actor and a dancer, Volmir Cordeiro worked for Lia Rodrigues and Xavier Le Roy. He is currently working on a thesis on the figures of marginality in contemporary dance and on a new solo work, Inês. He will also be dancing in Emmanuelle Huynh's next creation.
