In a garden at dusk, a woman chooses to isolate herself from the amazing party in which she is supposed to take part. She moves closer to the musician. She would like to speak, there's so much she wants to say. Film director Rebecca Zlotowski and actress, performer, and dancer Kate Moran inaugurate their collaboration by exploring what they dream would be just out of the frame of a film everyone would already secretly carry in their heads and in their hearts.
After training in New York, Kate Moran first appeared on a French stage with Pascal Rambert in 2000 at the Festival d'Avignon. Since then, she has worked with several film directors—among them Yann Gonzalez—and since 2013 has been in Robert Wilson and Philip Glass's Einstein on the beach.
In 2010, abandoning a career in academia, Rebecca Zlotowski directs Belle Épine, which is awarded the prix Delluc for best first feature. Her latest film, Grand Central, which follows the impossible love story between two nuclear plant workers, was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
