Presentation

  • Presented by Marie Labory (ARTE Journal)
With the presence of Martine Chevallier, sociétaire de la Comédie-Française

A fierce and lyrical farce, The Forest is one of the most popular plays in Russia, the story of a world imagined by an author from the 19th century which finds a powerful echo in the 21st. Beyond the satire, this text is an ode to actors everywhere. An extraordinary director of actors, Arnaud Desplechin is working here with some of the best, the troupe of the Comédie-Française, who have often performed this play, and gives a unique adaptation of this great satirical comedy.
