Presentation

  • This is the story of a family forsaken by God: the vilest and most corrupt family there can ever be. To cleanse it, one of the daughters decides to turn kamikaze by sending everyone to death, “to hell,” including herself. She prepares her attack while confiding into a cabaret singer who reminds her that “it's never too late” to change her mind. Is the total annihilation of everyone the ultimate and only solution to put an end to this eternal dance with the devil? Yes. No. Maybe...

Souleymane Bah is a most versatile artist: with a PhD in information and communication sciences from université Lumière Lyon-2 and a bachelor's degree in journalism from the university of Conakry, he also works as an artist, a journalist, a political activist, and a communication consultant, in particular with United Nations agencies in Guinea. He started working in theatre as a secondary school student when he founded the troupe Djibril Tamsir Niane, and has since then directed many plays. The director of the company Laborato'arts, he is also the author of two texts: Danse avec le diable and Tranchantes chroniques.

Danse avec le Diable by Soulay Thiâ'nguel is published by L'Harmattan (2016).
