  • Two women try to put sisterhood intro practice. They’d like to love each other simply, perhaps desire each other too, but it’s not that easy in a patriarchal society which puts women in competition with one another. With This Garden, they open a space to explore and exorcise the relationships that exist between them long before they have even met.

Presentation

  • Two women try to put sisterhood intro practice. They'd like to love each other simply, perhaps desire each other too, but it's not that easy in a patriarchal society which puts women in competition with one another. With This Garden, they open a space to explore and exorcise the relationships that exist between them long before they have even met.

After studying art history in Montreal, Ina Mihalache enrolled into the cours Florent in Paris and worked as a camerawoman and editor while creating her own video installations. In 2011, she created the YouTube channel “Solange te parle”. Today, she works with Radio France, has directed her first feature film, and sometimes performs at the theatre. Ina Mihalache is a partner of Le Phénix Scène nationale de Valenciennes.

Madeleine Fournier studied dance at the CNR in Paris and the CNDC in Angers, and rapidly started working with choreographers and visual artists. In 2008, she started working on her own research and began a partnership with Jonas Chéreau, which led to the film 306 Manon, directed by Tamara Seilman. In 2018, Madeleine Fournier inaugurated a new period in her career with the creation of the solo show Labourer.
